A total of 16 individual has been sued under the ICT act after an alleged Facebook post containing seditious statements.
The case was filed with Rajoir Police Station under Sections 57 of the Information and Communication Technology Act last night around 8 pm, our Madaripur correspondent reports quoting Md Mohsin, officer-in-charge of the police station.
Md Monir Hawlader, Police Superintendent of Rajoir Police Station filed the case accusing 16 individuals, namely Kasem Sarder, Dilip Chandra Sarkar, Mohammad Hafizur Rahman, Toiyeb Ali, Nihar Ranjan Sarkar, Zafar Hawlader, Azgar Bepary, Yousuf Chokder, Sajib Khan, Rajib Khan, Dipak Majumder, Palash Kumar Das, Samir Kumar Shil, Kamal Das, and Sudeb Mandal of propaganda against the government and seditious statements.
